This girl loves to play outside. She loves to stand at the windows while banging and singing jabber that is easily interpreted into "let's go outside!"

I love the way she clasps her hands together.
She shows a lot of emotion through her hands (as well as her face).
Sweet hands.
Claire is still our beaming ray of sunshine. She has learned to clap this week so every time we get excited about something we say "Yeah!" and clap and she drops whatever she is doing to clap along and squeal with delight. She dances to any music or beat she hears - I love it and am quite the fan of our dance parties. She has mastered crawling and is now onto pulling up and "walking" alongside of whatever she can hang on to. Based on her development thus far, we have no reason to believe that walking is that far away. Scary but exciting She is still a great sleeper and eater and is into all kinds of finger foods. She really prefers to feed herself so we aren't "mashing" things as much anymore.
Looking forward to Easter weekend In regards to our "eventful" week - I think it started with Ethan getting the exact opposite schedule of what we needed him to get. Thankfully, a co-worker of his offered to trade him schedules - giving Ethan the exact schedule I had been praying for!
Then, the next day he started having car problems so we took his car into the shop to find out he needed a good bit of repair. Ironic in that if this had happened last week it would have been no biggie but since the first of the month is when most of our bills come around his car repairs are on hold for a couple of weeks. We also seemed to take quite a ride on the financial roller coaster this week - but that's just the fun part of learning to survive on one income! Our sweet girl is completely worth it!
We've stayed busy with errands, play dates and such. On Wednesday night, I had dinner with some friends and then went to pick up Ethan from work. Only to "lose my dinner" in the parking lot as soon as I arrive at Apple. ick! Thursday, Ethan stayed home to take care of Claire since I had come down with food poisoning or a stomach flu. I was a bit stressed as I really had a lot to do around the house and needed to continue working on the web site for work. Obviously, God new I needed a day of rest and am feeling about 75% better today.
In the midst of a lot of little things going wrong all at once - I'm always thankful for the laughter that comes along as well. God never leaves us without hope, joy and smiles. We look forward to teaching Claire optimism, hope and joy that will stand strong in the face of the deceiver who teaches pessimism, criticism and sadness. We are thankful for "eventful" lives that bring lessons to us and our children!
We are looking forward to Easter weekend! We have our Sedar Supper tonight at the church and then a relaxing Easter Sunday after worship. Claire has a few big baskets full of Easter goodies waiting for Sunday morning. Both of the grandparent packages arrived today just in time for the weekend!

This picture didn't turn out very well - but we have a lot of fun wearing the bucket and singing a "bucket on my head" song. Always thankful for silliness!
