Easter ....

We had a seriously perfect Easter Day yesterday. Despite Claire and I (kristen) being pretty sick this weekend, yesterday was beautiful.

Claire let us sleep in till 9! Then we woke up and had pancakes together. Claire opened all of her Easter goodies and as Ethan showed her everything in her basket she had to taste everything one by one. (all of which was not eatable) We then read her the story of the Resurrection and she, of course, pounded on the book and Jesus' picture. Guess she was really into it ...

We had a wonderful service at church and as always were blessed by our church family and fellow staff. It is such a blessing to sit in a church service and to be so thankful for the people God has surrounded you with. I pray everyone has this or finds kind of community. God never leaves us feeling lonely or without family.

We had Easter lunch with the Frey family who were so sweet to include us (and Andrew) into their family meal plans. Claire, of course, was passed around the table and loved on. Sweet girl.

We came home for a quick nap and a walk before getting a call from a friend offering us two tickets to Broadway Across America's Phantom of the Opera as well as free baby sitting for the evening. So Andrew and Kevin came over to play with Claire and Ethan and I were off to the theatre! It was absolutely incredible. Ethan and I were grinning ear to ear the entire drive home. If you have the opportunity to see this in your city - do!

And last but not least - a few Easter pics ...
