We just can't believe Claire is three months old. But then at the same time, it's hard to remember life without her.
She is developing so quickly. Even after a couple of years of Child Development courses, and all my current reading and studying ... she still blows me away.
These are a few of her favorite things:
- Smiling ... and at almost everyone, even Darby. I prayed for a friendly baby.
- Talking ... nonstop. (She is Mommy's girl for sure!) She's been jabbing for several weeks now, but over this past week she's decided she has things to say and the world needs to hear about it! We've been in several crowded social situations lately and she'll just start jabbering along with the crowd.
- Squealing/laughing ... she has a really high pitches squeal when she gets really excited that is currently her laugh.
-Bath time - she still LOVES those hot baths!
- Games ... we play "Stand Up - Sit Down", airplane, etc.
- Tasting ... everything. Anything she can get a hold of she works vigorously to get it into her mouth. When we are dressing her, she tried to eat her clothes. When you kiss her, she tries to taste your face. Love it
- Sitting up ... she loves to be propped up and part of the action. The Bumbo has been a life saver. So much so I bought a used one off craigslist just so we'd have one at work and at home.
- Paci ... she loves her Paci. We're going to have a lot of fun in a year and a half working to break her of the paci.
- Wiggles/Baby Einstein ... I'm not the biggest fan of kids watching a lot of TV, but a couple of times a week we let her watch The Wiggles or baby Einstein. She loves them (she inherited my love for the Aussies of course). :) She loves them even more when Mommy and Daddy sing along to silly songs.
She has a fun, exciting and friendly little personality! With a tiny streak of ornery ... :)
We've been working hard at tummy time, grabbing things (she loves those little plastic chain link rings), reading (we love George), singing, dancing, following things with our eyes and conversing!
In other news ... things are going well for us. Ethan's currently working 6 am - 3 pm and he loves it. We love the extra time with him! Ethan got another raise and is now an official Apple iPhone Senior Advisor! Woot! Woot! Things are slowing down in Youth Ministry thankfully! The Ski Trip is coming up in December and we are super excited!
We went to the pumpkin farm on Saturday for a little while and had fun! Can't wait until next year when Claire is a little more into it.
