A baby update and promotion ...

35 weeks! I had an doctors appointment this afternoon and have (thankfully) not gained any more weight in the last two weeks but Claire sure has! The doctor said I was measuring a little big and said she was "promoting" me to start my weekly visits next week instead of the week after! (My weekly visits were not supposed to begin until two weeks from today). These are the visits where they really start to check things out and measure my progression so we'll know when Claire's ready to make her debut!

I had a big growth spurt last week which made for a rough week. I'll have to get some pictures up - but for now I just got back from the pool and trying to gain the energy to get out of these wet clothes.

This week Ethan said that he'd like us to teach Claire some baby sign language which I think is really cool. I hadn't really thought much about that but I could see how that could be really useful in teaching her to communicate with us early on. I love how into her he already is. I so looking forward to watching their Daddy daughter relationship begin.

As for life in general, we are doing really well. We had a great date night on Monday night and have both been feeling better this week. Last week was just plain exhausting. I'm busy at work trying to make it through June - planning and executing Wakeboard Camp and two mission trips in my last few weeks of pregnancy is a true challenge.

Ethan continues his career as an Apple rock star and is looking forward a the schedule change. He's really excited to have Saturdays off so we can have "our time" this month and then family time this summer.

My Dad just called and they are back from Iceland! It felt like they were gone for a long time, but they weren't ready to leave. Coming back to the states isn't the most desirable after an amazing international trip!
