April is rolling by ...

To start this much needed update ... this is the amazing lunch I had with Ethan today under the 360 bridge (over Lake Austin). Jimmy Johns, Ethan, 360 bridge and 75 degrees ... perfect.

The last two weeks have been a whirlwind in our apartment on the hill. One of Ethan's college buddies and his wife stayed with us the first week of April. They are from Tampa and it was fun to have them around and show them around town. They were great house guests and more than anything, needed to get away from home and just veg for a week. It was a blessing to be able to offer them a place to "regroup" before heading back into full-time ministry in Tampa. Ethan and I can definitely sympathize with that need!

They left on Saturday and we had time to get a few things done, head to James's 3rd birthday party and have dinner with friends before picking up my Mom from the airport that night. Mom was here all last week and we had a great time making baby stuff and hanging out. My Dad and Mema drove down on Good Friday for the Easter Weekend. It was so great and rejuvenating to be with my family for the holiday weekend. Unfortunately, it rained all day Saturday but did some shopping, ate at some great Austin restaurants, enjoyed hanging out together. Easter Sunday was gorgeous and we went to a great service at church. We showed them around the new buildings and then relaxed at home for the afternoon before taking them to see the Austin Bat's. It was wonderful ... but we are so sad they live so far away. They will be such fun, amazing grandparents.

I've been so sad this morning because my parents left for home and they took Burleigh with them. This has been a long time coming, but Ethan and I have been very sad this week. Because of Burleigh's hatred for being in a kennel during the day and his anxiety, we decided he needed to go live with my parents prior to Baby coming. He will be so happy laying in the sun in their beautiful back yard and he'll be spoiled rotten. But we miss him so much already. Darby is a little confused today as to where he is so that is making it even harder!

Burleigh loved all the Austin lakes and dog parks!

This week, it seems Ethan and I are both in a mental state of just "making it" through the chaos. We leave for our baby-moon at Port A on Saturday and are so excited! Between plans with friends, hair appointments and a planning and executing a baby shower I'm trying to get a bunch of grocery shopping and packing done so that we can be worry free when we head out of town on Saturday afternoon.

We are at 27 1/2 weeks in our pregnancy. All is going well and she's active and wonderful! Third trimester cliches have already begun ... can't breath ... my legs and feet are swelling up ... etc. Other that that I'm enjoying begin pregnant - it's fun and we're constantly talking excitedly about all the cool experiences we're looking forward to sharing with her!

I think the pictures of the lake are beautiful but my favorite part is the Jimmy John's cups!! haha!! Post a picture of you, I wanna see that baby belly!! It's good to hear/see that ya'll are doing good and I know it's sad to see your puppy leave you, but I know he will be so happy at your parents.
