Happy Birthday Mom!!!

We had a bit of a scare this morning. I woke up, started getting ready for work and then started having severe abdominal cramps. Paralyzing to say the least. We called the doctor and went in for an ultra-sound to see what is going on. Ethan and have been pretty relaxed this pregnancy, but with the type of cramping I was having we were expecting the worst. We had almost emotionally checked out as we were taken into the same exam room where we found out we lost the baby in September. However, when the OB pulled up our baby on the screen we were OVERJOYED to see a much bigger life inside me. Jumping around, waving it's arms and quite active in utero. It was nothing short of amazing. This time, in exam room 4, there were tears of joy!

So here you are Mom ... a couple of pictures of your little grand baby for your birthday!

(It's probably the cutest kid we've ever seen!) :)

We had an AMAZING weekend in Jeff City this week. We flew out of Austin at 6:00 am on Friday morning, had a brief layover in Memphis and then boarded a 34 passenger prop plane that took us to Columbia. We were pretty stoked to be on a prop plane. :)

It was FREEZING in Jefferson City, but we got great use out of our coats! On Friday night we went downtown to see the Living Windows. Then we ate dinner at Aris's pizza, which is a local fav.  It was a great night with Mom, Dad and Brandon.

Saturday morning we took it easy. We had a surprise for celebrating Mom's bday on Saturday but she started to catch on. We took her downtown to Madison's Cafe for dinner and then came home and a girl from church came over and took some professional family photos in front of Mom's beautifully decorated tree and fireplace. Then we opened presents and had our family Christmas. Mom and Dad bought us a really nice video camera in preparation for baby. We also received some cute baby stuff, I'll have to start taking pictures to document the growing amount of baby stuff we are accumulating.

We went to church and then flew home Sunday afternoon. Ethan and I couldn't have asked for a better weekend.

It's good to be home but we miss Mom and Dad already. We have a busy week ahead of us with our Student Ministry Leader Christmas Party on Wednesday night and the Heinrich family coming in on Saturday!
