We are having a joint Pool side birthday party for Jamie and Sheryl and also a welcome party for Eric on Nov. 7. Our apartment has an amazing pool with lots of places to sit, an outdoor fire place and a grill. We are going to get some Chimenea's out there for the party. It should be nice but it seems that from now until Christmas things are going to be nuts.

This is our apartment pool ...
We are flying to Jeff City on December 5 and possibly to Kansas City for Thanksgiving.
I'm working a lot on Faceplant (the youth ski trip) these days. Ethan and I would LOVE to go but it's the day after Christmas and we wouldn't get to see family over the holidays. We have to make a decision by Sunday ....
Ethan is really stinking excited about Apple and so am I! Everything they've used to communicate with us has been cool so far. He got a "Welcome" email this morning that was even cool and very Apple-like.
Our prayers over the last several months are being answered in just a few days. Just when we think we can't get any happier here ...
Several people have church have encouraged us to look into a ministry called Apartment Life. It's an organization that puts Christian couples in apartment communities to plan some events and to get to know the apartment community as an outreach ministry. The best party is they pay for your rent .... (which is a lot of money down here.) We love meeting people and I love planning and executing events (thus my obsession with evites lately) but the ministry requires about 7 hours a week per person. Due to our jobs and church and social obligations we are worried we wouldn't be able to find that kind of time. I sent an email to the ministry today just to get some more info. One of my co-workers said they really like to get couples who've had Young Life backgrounds, so we'll see if it's what God wants for us.

my friends did that in denver...i don't know if they still are doing it or not. their blog is http://dananddebbyjester.blogspot.com/.
and i have her email address if you'd like to talk to her about it. i think that they had to do 40 hours/month each or something like that. so at least they've lowered that number a little bit. she said it was totally worth it ;) love you!
Kate and I are being ladybugs... cheesy, I know. Did you figure anything out yet?
