A full weekend and then some ...

Time continues to fly by as usual. Ethan's last day at AT&T was Friday evening, right in time for the Tucker's party out in Dripping Springs.  We had a wonderful night at the Tuckers home, sitting out under the stars and getting to talk with friends and meet some new ones. It as a different group than our usual weekend crowd and it was a great time. The Tucker's home is amazing, they are both so creative and artistic, I don't know why I expected any less. Always a good time with them and some of our favorite people in the world.Saturday was a wonderfully lazy day! One that was far overdue. Ethan had the day off and we stayed in bed until 11:30! Yeah! Then we got up, ate some lunch and ran around town getting some errands done and enjoying our time together. Laura Wyrtzen called called us Saturday evening to see if we were going to go the the Fall Festival at church. We hadn't planned on it but jumped at the chance at playing with James and Scarlett. We had SO much fun watching them enjoy the festival, James is 2 1/2 and Scarlet is 1. It was such a great evening.
Ethan and Scarlett. That is James in the Superman shirt in the background riding a pony!

We ran into Kari and Scottie at the festival and ended up having dinner together at Maudies. They are one of the first couples we got to know when we moved here and we love them so much. We had a great dinner with them and really enjoyed Maudies ... can't believe it took us this long to try it out! Sadly, Scottie has been approached by a company in New Braunfels. We will find out on Thursday if they are going to offer him the job and I'm DREADING Thursday. He's such talented, I just know he'll get it but I can't bear to think about them moving an our south. Kari and I were on the verge of tears talking about the possibilities and logistics of the move. We will be happy for them if it works out and most importantly that they are following the path God has laid out for them. I can't imagine living life ignoring opportunities God has for us just because we are comfortable. That can't be living at all.

Yesterday was Ethan's first day at Apple and I spent the day on a Staff Retreat at a lakehouse LBJ. It was a really fun day. We have about 25 people on staff and it is such a fun group. It was nice to get to hang out, eat (way to much), play in the yard, pray, worship and talk about some pretty amazing changes we will undergo in the near future! I am always so encouraged by the pastors and staff. God has assembled such an amazingly healthy team, all who are just as thankful to be a part of what is going on as I am.

A quick recap from last week: Ethan finished up at AT&T, Thursday we got a second car and it's been SUCH a blessing this week!
