At Conner Oberst - great show!

Backstage waiting for the show!

Yes, we were that close to JACK WHITE!!
The Baby: All things considered, the miscarriage went very well. Everything went the way it was supposed to and a doctors visit today confirmed that everything is back to normal. We are so thankful for all of that and that my body works the way it was supposed to! I did find out that my blood type is RH negative ... so apparently that only affects pregnancy. I have to get a shot at 28 weeks every time I'm pregnant as well as after a miscarriage and possibly after giving birth ... weird!
ACL: (See pics above) WAS AMAZING! We were given free three day passes the day before ACL began and are so thankful! We had the best time and the weather was perfect. We got to see Gogol Bordello, Conner Oberst, Iron and Wine, Robert Plant and Allison Kraus, Foo Fighters and The Raconteurs. The Raconteurs was probably our favorite experience although all the shows were fantastic. The family from church who gave us the free passes were VERY involved in ACL for years. Jeff still manages a stage at ACL each year and had the AMD stage this year. So ... he said that any show we wanted to go backstage for on that stage. We took him up on his offer for The Racontuers. It was so stinking cool, he walked us backstage (in front of everyone else already waiting in line to go backstage) and to a deck suspended in the air above the band. We got to hang out a bit before the stage and SIT DOWN (which was a blessing) on the edge of the deck. While we were waiting Lance Armstrong came up on the deck for a bit and then during the show Dave Grohl was standing behind us. The show was great and we had an amazing time. Then afterwards, Jeff handed me an Artist wristband that got us back into the artist circle - so cool. We got to use the nice bathrooms and all the vitamin water we could drink as well as walk around looking for artists. Can't wait for next year.
Work: Is crazy. Very busy since I was out most of the week of the miscarriage - working from home. Ethan's staying busy and working most nights until 10:15 or later. It is kind of a bummer but I'm finding plenty to keep myself busy these days. I just got back from a hip hop class with a bunch of my girlfriends. It was so fun! Last Thursday I went out with a friend to get a pedicure and dinner. I think we are going to start a Thursday night girls night with our friend Kari who lives down here on our side of town. It seems most of our friends live way north and we are all SW. Lots of girl time for sure ... My friend Laura is a hair stylist at JJ Thomas and I'm getting my hair done tomorrow. So excited!
Job Interview: Ethan had a phone interview with Apple (there is a big branch in North Austin) today. He has another interview next Tuesday. He had a pretty frustrating afternoon. His iPhone started freaking out and the ear and mouth piece stopped working. The only way he could here was if the call was on speakerphone or through his headphones. So when the interviewer from Apple was trying to get a hold of him, his phone really started to freak out and dropped the call a couple of times. Finally, after playing hardcore phone tag for 10 minutes he gave them my number and he used my phone to set up the interview. Thankfully his phone was working during the interview.
Life: Ethan's been pretty pumped up lately about getting back into shape which is nice. It's hard doing it when your spouse isn't We got a Wii Fit off craigslist and between my long walks with the dog, eating healthy and hip hop ... we're sure to see some big changes soon.
Moving: Our lease is up in 3 months ... I can't believe it's almost been a year. We are really praying and trying to decide where to live. The rent is going up $200 and we can easily get a house or duplex for that price. Currently we live in Southwest Austin, Ethan works in South Austin and I work in West Austin. However, depending on Ethan's job situation in the next three months who knows where we will live. We really want to move down to Lake Austin Estates about 2 miles from the church. There is the most eclectic little neighborhood right on the lake down there that is full of friends, hippies and new and older homes. It doesn't at all feel like a subdivision or "picket fence" neighborhood and we like that most about it. We see it as a big mission field, especially with our church being the closest place of worship. But we will see what God has in store for us.
