The last few years I've been amazed when I look back at God's timing for things. For example, if you've never heard of how Kristen and I got together, it's a story filled with twists and turns-a-plenty. It ,obviously, ends up with us getting married. Rob Bell's first speaking tour was called "Everything is Spiritual." It is hard hard to agree with that in the middle of the mundane parts of this life, but somehow looking back it seems hard to refute.
If I actually give thought to it, it seems that God only gives me what He knows I can handle. There have been more than enough times where He, in His infinite wisdom, has seen it relevant to refine me through fire and stretch me as if I were made of playdough.
Keeping that in mind gives me hope as I search for His direction in certain aspects of my life. I have this hope, firm and secure, that He's got a plan and that all will be well. My prayer is that the lingering doubt will soon be refuted by:
1.) my Savior's glorious return (though I would appreciate any tardiness as I am VERY excited to be a parent with Kristen)
2.) my dream job. I figure I'm gonna be a dad, so why not aim high?
All that to say I need a new job and I'd like it to be a job I'm excited to go to and not hesitant to tell people about. Speaking of which, I need to go back and assist the chat crazies. Here's to stupid people with their smart phones!
