We had a busy week and a fantastic weekend. Saturday I went to girls breakfast and had a great time eating breakfast tacos with friends. I haven't gone in a couple of months because I usually take the dogs to Town Lake on Saturday mornings. However, Ike was looming overhead and bringing in some creepy clouds and strong wind. (We didn't see but a couple of drops of rain from all of that chaos).
I got a new vacuum cleaner on Saturday as our previous cheapo vacuum bit the dust. I also went to get an oil change on Saturday and $160 later I drove away not sure what had happened! :( Saturday night we went to some friends house for BBQ. I ended up having the best time in another room with the girls talking about all kinds of crazy stuff. Laura was giving us the low down on pregnancy and childbirth and it was really awesome and really funny. I was accepting my fate and the other Laura was rethinking wanting to have children. :) Ethan has a great time hanging out with the guys, watching them sweat over fantasy football picks and listening to music. It was such a great night.
Sunday morning was crazy as usual. Ethan was up early for band practice. He was so sweet, he let me sleep in and came back to pick me up before the youth service because I've been so tired. (We are still sharing a car). I'm working on the ski trip in December a lot these days, we are taking four tour busses of 192 people to Copper Mountain. We are dying to go but since I'm pregnant I would be less than happy sitting at the bottom of the mountain. Next year for sure! (Mom - can you come baby sit??)
Another week has started and Ethan starts his less than ideal schedule! Blah! He's looking for a new job and we are praying about it constantly. However, we can do anything for a short amount of time.
Our first ultra sound is tomorrow as well as our Sept girls dinner. Should be an eventful day! Today, is the first day I'm started to really feel pregnant. A few symptoms here and there but today my stomach is feeling much tighter and my jeans were not agreeing with me this morning. I've only gained 3 lbs but it feels like it's all water weight. I have a huge water addiction anyway but is has escalated the last couple of months. I feel like a fish out of water and am constantly guzzling bottle after bottle of water and gatorade. I went to Sam's on Saturday and came out with nothing but mega packs of bottled water and gatorade. :)
