It's getting hot ... and we love it. Wednesday was our last "freebie" day off together. We went hiking and had a blast. Then we came home, had some lunch and a nap and then went to a nice dinner at the Galleria. It was another great day together.
On Saturday mornings, I've been dropping Ethan off at work and heading to Town Lake with the dogs. It seems that all of Austin is walking/running/biking the town lake trails on Saturday morning but I love it. It's always a great workout and it helps wear the dogs out for the day so I can run around in the afternoon. Some Saturday mornings I meet some girlfriends for breakfast, either way, I love Saturday mornings. (Picture - I crashed on the couch for a couple of minutes after our morning workout, checking email - Darby feels that she has to sit as close to my face as possible. Stinky puppy!)
I survived a trip to Wal-Mart today. It's funny how growing up in the mid-west, frequent trips to Wal-Mart were no biggie. Now, Wal-Mart isn't a convenient place to shop at all (there are only a few in Austin and not any on our side of town - just keeping Austin weird). I love life without Wal-Mart, but we are on a tight budget the next couple of weeks so super cheap groceries called for a trip to the w-mart. It was crowded and crazy but I put in my headphones and listened to some soothing Sigur Ros and made it out alive! Never again ... I hope!
