What happened to July? (and other ramblings ...)

What a fast month it has been. I'm sad that my hours are about to go back to normal and I will no longer have the day off with Ethan. What an adventure Austin has been over the past six months. It is so warm and beautiful here. I continue to be shocked and amazed at how many wonderful friends we have made. We have both confessed to each other that we are the happiest we have EVER been. We are excited to spend as many years as God will allow us here - the journey has been amazing so far.  We are staying really busy, juggling schedules and learning to live with one car.

Last week Ethan and I went tubing in San Marcos for the day, and then went to this great Italian restaraunt here in Austin. We had an amazing day together. We are trying to figure out something exciting to do tomorrow!
Some of our friends have invited us to stay at a house on the beach in Port Aransas next weekend, Ethan is trying to find out if he can get off but it's not looking good. :( However, I am considering taking a girlfriend or two and going down. As someone who is obsessed with the ocean, I've never been known to turn down a beach trip!

Darby is growing so quickly and we are looking to get into a rental house by the end of the year. We are needing a yard and are praying for something great to open up.

Ethan got a random call from an Audio/Video company on Monday. He hasn't been able to touch base with them since he received the voicemail but they wanted to talk to him because somehow they received his resume ... we'll see!

Ethan is out on his weekly Tuesday night "guys night." Tonight I found some time to paint a couple of canvas's to go into some empty black frames I found. Getting ready to swim some laps at the pool!
