So I updated this yesterday and it never showed up. BUMMER! Now I have to rewrite... augh!
Well, yesterday I said that Ethan and I have been playing tennis lately. I'm trying to teach Ethan what I can remember from HS tennis days and then we want to take upper level lessons together. There is a racquet club down the street that we've talked about joining, but Ethan posed an insightful question: "Do we really want to be country club people?" The obvious answer is no ... but it is a nice club. :o)
Here is a pic of our puppy Burleigh.

It looks like we are going to Joplin on Saturday to see some friends. We are very excited because we miss them and it will be nice to get out of Tulsa for the day.
Ethan's busy at work; he just created a website that is still a work in progress. http://www.thespiritualjungle.com/. The kids came up with the name and wouldn't let it go so Ethan decided to appease them. :o) We also just started a Sunday night youth service (working on a name for it.) It went really well and was a great experience. Ethan led worship with several of the youth and they sounded amazing! They've only played together a couple of times so we were impressed. We are trying to make it a service that really meets the needs of the kids and is different that a typical church service. Good times!
We just adopted a little girl from Rwanda to sponsor financially. On Sunday we will present the information to the kids and they are going to help take offering each month. We are excited about the opportunity to contribute to her life. There are a handful of Christian Leaders who are stepping up and taking responsibility for the worlds issues. Its so insane that we as Christians leave the major issues of the world to hollywood stars and "hippies." We are just as responsible if not MORE SO for eliminating hunger and recylcing.
Craig Borlase wrote a book called God's Gravity that touches some of these issues. He also has a blog at: http://www.generous.org.uk/ . The guys from the XXX Church are also wrapping up their Starving Jesus tour: http://www.starvingjesus.com/. And I think Rick Warren also has been gearing his ministry towards the world hunger issue.
It's so unbelievble that Christians will stand and scream and gay couples taking a cruise with Rosie O'Donnell, but fall silent when it comes to eliminating world hunger and recyling their picket signs. Rosie, Brad and Angelina's charity work is a lot more appealing to me than angry Christians. Luckily, we have people like Rob Bell reminding us that the point of being a Christian isn't Christianity, its being a follower of Christ.
Anyway, i'll get off my soapbox. Hope you are all allowing God to bless you!
