It's been awhile ...

Don't mistake my absence for - forgetting about the blog. There have been many blog worthy moments the past week or so. Just very few moments that allowed for blogging ...

We are headed to Port Aransas tonight to spend a couple of days playing in the surf and sand! It is a much needed break Ethan and I are celebrating five sensational years of marriage tomorrow. We are blessed beyond measure.

Claire is .... divine. She stood up on her own for the first "real" time last Sunday. She threw her hands in the air and proclaimed "Wheeeeee!" It was perfect. We played with a bunch of friends on Tuesday afternoon - all of which were walking. Which inspired Little Miss to try a couple of steps out on her own! She loves it when we imitate each other and loves peek-a-boo. She put a towel over her head when I was folding laundry and crawled around like that for a couple of minutes. I heart silliness.

In recent news ... I helped out with a garage sale supporting Makarios on Saturday morning. God is awesome and we raised almost $1000!

Afterwards, Ethan, Claire and I went to explore Wimberly, Texas for the afternoon. It was an adorable little town that felt a bit like Gruene, TX (which we love). We visited shops, went to the Central Texas Bonsai Exhibit  (I'm now obsessed with Bonsai - SO COOL!) took a stroll by the river and enjoyed a beautiful drive home through the hill country. Of course, not without stopping at the Nutty Brown Cafe - yum!

Other than that we've had a busy week of working and getting ready for our trip!
