Another round of answered prayer ...

I've been praying a lot over the past six months. Parenthood encourages an abundance of prayer. For the last six months I've been working full time at my job (which I love) while taking care of Claire. It's been a huge blessing, but it's been a crazy and exhausting six months. I couldn't have asked for a better work situation and everyone has loved having Claire around.

God has been good.

Today I completed my two-year commitment as the Student Ministry Assistant. The past two years have been both Ethan and my favorite years we've ever had. God has been stirring my heart and changing my passions greatly over the past six months.

After a few conversations with my boss, we've decided that I'm able to go part-time working primarily from home focusing on the graphics and creative side of the ministry. Honestly, it's my dream come true!

I'm THRILLED to have a few days off to take care of my family each week but still have a couple of days where I can pour myself into my art.

It is nothing short of a leap of faith as we'll take a significant pay cut ... but we couldn't be happier. God is made it so clear that this is part of his perfect plan for our family.

I look forward to baby food making sessions with my girlfriends and clipping coupons. Exchanging babysitting favors, play dates, having time to WORK OUT, going to the park, playing in the fountains at Auditorium Shores ... the list goes on. Life is good here in the AUSTX!

Without going into three more paragraphs about how God's already provided so much through so many different people as we made this decision .... I'll just end and say how happy I was to arrive home today to gorgeous clean carpet. I had forgotten that we had someone coming to clean our carpet today! :)

It's been a fabulous day!
