Just us ...

We are home sick today. A little bummed as we had tickets to the UT game this morning and didn't get to go. sad. On a good note - I got tickets yesterday for John Krasinski (Jim from The Office) at the Alamo Ritz downtown next Friday night! He is screening his new movie and will be present for a Q&A - should make for a great date night!

We've had a nice relaxing day which is just what I think we needed. I love my sweet family. As I write, Ethan is sitting in the floor with Claire hugging and kissing on her. We love rolling around on the floor with her. She LOVES sitting up (working on perfecting that) and standing.

While watching a movie tonight, Ethan and I both has just a moment where we missed life as "just us." We wouldn't trade our new lives as Claire's Mommy and Daddy for anything ... but we will always look back with fond memories of our newlywed years.

And then, we are quickly transported back to the present with with incredible, happy, funny and adventurous little girl who will keep us on our toes for many years to come.
