Little things ...

As baby day draws closer (6 weeks to be exact) I think Ethan and I are finding ourselves reflecting quite a bit on our marriage and our love for each other. Our word lately has been "intentional" as we discuss what we'd like to do and not to do as we add another member to our family and attempt to raise a child who loves Christ as much as we do. It all comes back to us constantly striving to be intentional in all things and never settling for mediocrity.

I've bragged before on how cool it is to watch Ethan change into "Daddy" and he's been doing a few things for me lately that totally make my day.

Just little things like ...

I came home today for lunch and heard music playing. I recognized it and went to the computer to see that he had downloaded an album I had mentioned wanting over the weekend. He left it playing a sweet song so I'd hear it when I came home for lunch. He also put it under a playlist in itunes titled "For Kristen."

washing out my water cantene that he used to put some water in his car when it was overheating. Even though he only put water in it, he was so worried I would drink out of it without washing it well because it was near the coolant he was mixing.

cleaning up the huge mess I made of dishes when making a cake for my girls night.

he constant words of encouragement as my body continues to change and I become more uncomfortable on a daily basis.

I love the little things and am intentionally doing my best to notice them lately. :)
