It seems this past week we've hit a point of complete and utter shock that we are 7 weeks away from meeting Claire. Time continues to fly by and unfortunately we are keeping ourselves busy enough that it seems to go by faster that it should.
This is me and I feel HUGE. Someone at church on Sunday told me I didn't seem very big for 32 weeks but I couldn't feel any bigger. Can't imagine how I'm going to feel 7 weeks from now.

My job has been complete insanity with planning and executing about a dozen events. Thankfully, our Interns for the summer are rolling in and are helping me out a TON!
Last weekend was another shower weekend. Amanda's was Friday night and mine and Laura's was Saturday afternoon. It was a blast. I think we counted 7 pregnant girls at my shower and 5 at Amanda's. It really is an epidemic here, but we wouldn't trade it for anything. Ethan pointed out that sometimes it really does seem to good to be true to have so many friends going through this with us.
The shower, of course, was a huge blessing. It was beautiful and so well done by Erica. We received so many things that we needed. I guess over the past 4 years of marriage I've forgotten what a huge blessing showers are. We also got some really stinking cute stuff for her. Mom and Dad got us our Pack N Play and we got that set up this week. A little more complicated than we were expecting but we'll get the hang of it. :)
I started working on the wall design that's going behind the crib. A work in progress but hopefully I'll get it finished soon.

A super cute nursing cover that a friend ordered from Etsy. I heart Etsy.

We said good-bye for the summer to Kevin and David last Sunday night with a pool party at our place. They both work with our Middle School students and are amazing guys. A bunch of our middle school leaders and staff came out, it was so much fun.

This weekend flew by as well, but thankfully was not as jam packed. We did get to meet Baby Porter on Sunday afternoon. We took Zach and Carrie some Rudy's and it was so great to see them and finally get to meet Porter! He's beautiful and so sweet. We were so encouraged by their experience as new parents over the last three weeks. It really melted a lot of our fears about the coming months. Holding that sweet, tiny baby boy made us even more ready for Claire. As much as we're having a lot of fun and soaking up the date nights, we are dying to meet her!
Today was a bit on the frustrating side. We got up early for another OB appointment and all went well. I have another in two weeks and then they start weekly until the big birthday. On a side note - we love our doctor and hospital. They facilities are amazing and the hospital rooms are incredible. They are very private and large and feel like a hotel room verses a hospital room. Our doctor is also very chill and fun. They don't push inducing, which we are thankful for. We want her to come as naturally as possible.
Anyway, I got to work for about an hour and then Ethan called to say his car was overheating on the side of 360. I went to help him and we spent about 2 hours calling my Dad, finding a tow truck and a repair shop and getting the car there. Dad is always a huge help to us with these kind of mechanical issues ... guess that's the burden he bears for being an engineer. :) It was frustrating but they fixed the hoses only to find out it's the thermostat. Car repairs around Austin are insane as with any big city so a friend at church wants to fix the thermostat for us this week. We are praying this all works out and doesn't cost us a fortune ...
We're celebrating four years of marriage next Thursday! It's been amazing and can't imagine the last four years being any different. God's plan is perfect and we can't wait to see what he's got in store for us over the next four years!
