Over the hump ...

Technically, we are over halfway to baby day! I've been feeling SO much movement the last week or so it's incredible. Sometimes painful, sometimes just very cool feeling and sometimes it vaguely reminds me of a horror movie!

Ethan and I love music so much. Whenever I can find a minute to lay still (usually right before going to sleep) I'll plug the big headphones into my iPhone and let baby girl listen to some mellow music. Her lullabies will frequently be Sigur Ros, Jack Johnson and Ethan's music ... so I'd like her to get used to it now.

We found some hot pink converse crib shoes this weekend! Currently, her shoe wardrobe consists of black converse cribs shoes and pink converse crib shoes ... but what would you expect from our baby? :)
I've been really excited this last week and running head first into nursery and baby clothes! (Last night Ethan said he wishes I would paint like I used to ... but I had to point out that my creative outlets are consumed with my graphic design, photography class and baby decor.) On that note, I had a new idea for a baby announcement this week and I'm pretty sure this is what we are going to use for our baby girl!

I decided that I just can't commit to a bedding set. I get sick of looking at the same thing all the time and I don't want a crib skirt. So I ordered my first baby blankets off Etsy. I'd like to have a few different blankets we can use in her crib without being limited to one specific pattern.
I'm obsessed with Etsy. So many cute baby clothes, hats, blankets, burpies, etc. And I love that they are handmade by people ... thus you are getting something a little more original. It's been really cool talking with all my preggo friends - seems like we all know someone who makes something cool for babies!

Just a plug for Janie ... I've ordered a couple of slings as gifts for friends upcoming showers and plan to order a few more and some of my own in the near future. She's amazing!

We have been running around non-stop for almost two weeks and are SO looking forward to a night at home tonight ... with no plans! However, in order to accomplish this we are having to miss life group tonight because Ethan isn't feeling well. (Seems like a lot of guys are getting sick right now ...) I think we are all just worn out ...
