Can't believe it is July

I'm seriously going to try and get better at keeping our blog updated. We are in Austin and most everyone already knows. We moved here in mid-January and have loved every minute of our new home. God has blessed us with a wonderful church, many great friends, a beautiful apartment, great jobs and a new puppy. 

We spent the 4th out on Lake Austin boating with friends and then at a BBQ. We had a great day. Ethan and I both tried Wake Surfing and LOVED it. We are dying to get better at it. I have posted a lot of photos to facebook from our day out on the lake. Too muc

I received a huge blessing this week at church. (I'm got a great job at a big church in Westlake working with the Youth dept -which is why we moved down here). For the 

month of July, they have reduced our office hours to 9 am - 4 pm and we also got to choose one day a

 week of. I can't express how awesome this is for so many reason

s. Ethan's schedule is dodgy right now and I chose to have Wednesdays off because that is his day off. We are so excited! I'm going to get spoiled working only 24 hours a week! I'm looking forward to having more time to work out, paint and take the dogs to the dog park.

Speaking of dog parks - we love how dog friendly Austin is! There are a lot of great places to take your pups. I took Burliegh and Darby to Redbud Isle on Town Lake this past Tuesday. They had a great time. It's a 13-acre, leash free, wooded island with a trail and plenty of places for the dogs to swim and explore. They loved it!

Anyway, like I said ... I'm going to make a good effort to try and keep this thing up to date! We are happier than we've ever been! We do miss our friends and family scattered all over the place!
